The Caprice stick is the brand's tender sweet in another shape: a chewy bar about ten centimetres long, wrapped in its own printed sleeve. The paste is soft and fruit-flavoured — strawberry, peach, watermelon, orange, lemon, green apple, cherry — one flavour per colour, mixed in the same bag. The maker, Société des Produits de Sucre Caprice, has produced in Aïn Benian near Algiers since 1965. The bag carries a gelatine-free mention.
The long format is eaten on the move, shared, and slipped into a pocket or a school bag. It is a playground sweet rather than a table one, and unwrapping it is part of the pleasure.
Why list it
- The most eye-catching format in the Caprice range: the coloured sticks stand out in a bulk bin.
- A children's impulse buy, ideal at the till or on a counter display.
- Sells alongside the classic tender sweets: same taste, different gesture.
- A landmark brand for Algerian shoppers, with no direct French equivalent.
- Steady turnover through the school year and at Eid.
On the shelf
Place the sticks in confectionery at child height, or loose in a bin near the tills. Group them with Caprice tender sweets and bubble gum to form a brand block. Store at room temperature, away from heat and sunlight: above 25°C the paste softens and sticks to the wrapper.
