Amlou is a traditional spread from southern Morocco, made with roasted almonds, argan oil and honey. Mufeed, the house brand of Ouine Distribution, offers a version made in France from just three ingredients: roasted almonds (75%), argan oil and honey. No palm oil, no added sugar and no emulsifier: if the oil rises to the surface, a quick stir brings it back together.
The texture is smooth and slightly thick, close to a peanut butter, with small pieces of almond. Consumers use it at breakfast on bread or pancakes, straight from the spoon, or alongside fresh fruit. The 190 g jar keeps at room temperature.
Why list it
- An alternative to industrial spreads for shoppers who read ingredient lists.
- A short, clear recipe: three ingredients, 75% almonds.
- The house brand of Ouine Distribution: a reference your competitors do not necessarily carry.
- The 190 g jar suits delicatessens, organic stores and the world-food aisle of supermarkets.
- Pairs with Mufeed talbinas for a coherent breakfast range on a single facing.
On the shelf
Place it with spreads and breakfast products, next to nut butters and honeys, or in the North African grocery section. Cross-merchandise with msemen flatbreads, pancakes and traditional bread. Tell customers that a thin layer of oil on top is normal for an additive-free product.
